Google Fresh and Site Owners
Now that Google has released Fresh to search, how will it fare and what changes are you likely to see in your search ranking?
Chances are you will not even see a difference, but for some thirty percent of you that will notice a change; how are you going to react?
I have been preaching for the last five years how important content is and how content is king. I have told customers and bosses alike. Content Is King! And now Google likes fresh content. That is basically what Google Fresh is all about. Fresh is the continuation of Google Caffine and expands on the ability for search to find and index pages faster than ever.
So how do you adapt to Google Fresh? Have fresh and interesting content updated on your site on a regular basis. Not to say that you have to post to your site everyday or even every week. Just regular intervals of interesting content, useful content, relevant content.
Do you think that making changes to search is a very rare occasion for Google? Well, not really… Google makes over five hundred changes per year to the way they index web pages and rank web sites.
My advice to webmasters and newbies is to update your site content on a regular basis with quality, relevant content. Participate in blogs, message boards and social media that promotes your niche.
